Baptism is an important step that show others that we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: 1) that you are a follower of Jesus, 2) that you are beginning a changed life, and 3) that you are a part of a new family. In being submerged in water, you are identifying with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
